Ed Thornton began racing on the streets of Los Angeles and its suburbs while attending High School. He was extremely successful on the street earning a reputation for always taking the win. Because he was one of the few street racers with fiberglass body work he became known as "Plasticman" Ed decided to become legit and only races his car on sanctioned raceways now days but his reputation for winning was not left to the streets. Ed has been racing in the PSCA for 7 seasons and has amassed 15 Wins and 3 World Championships in the Pro Street Category. During his time away from the track he does fabrication work for Suspensions Unlimited an extreme sand rail manufacturer. Engine Tuner: Shane Tecklenburg Age: 33 Hometown: Aliso Viejo, CA Years in Sport: 18 Occupation: Self Employed -Consulting for Race Teams

Shane Tecklenburg has been building and tuning engines for 13 years and professionally for 7 of those 13. A former Auto Technician, Shane mastered the skills necessary to become one of MoTeC's factory trained tuners in 2001. He built and ran his own dragster in the mid 90's with his own custom designed fuel injection system. In 2002 he joined Thornton's team on a limited basis and became chief tuner in 2003 when the team won its first championship. In addition, Shane was a consultant for the 2004/2005 NHRA Pro Stock Champion Harley Davidson team. Shane also does the Promotional work for the FASTMotorsports racing team including Media relations and press releases.

Clutch Specialist: Doug Stewart Age: 44 Hometown: West Covina, CA Years in Sport: 25 Occupation: Self Employed – Floor Coverings

Doug Stewart has been a key player in door slammer type drag racing since the early 1980's. He has worked professionally for John Scialpi's Woppado Racing Pro Modified team since the teams inception in the role of crew chief. His expert knowledge of drag racing slider clutches has permitted the FASTMotorsports team to consistently place their car in the winners circle.

Car specialist: Tom Esbri Age: 43 Hometown: Buena Park, CA Years in Sport: 26 Occupation: Electrician  

Tom is an integral part of the team as well. Tom came on board for the 2004 season and instantly made his presence known. Tom performs all of the between rounds maintenance on the car. A very unglamorous duty - but absolutely integral to a winning combination. From tire changing, icing down the intercooler, refueling, setting tire pressure and of course backing the car from the burnout Tom does it all, never complains and always wears a warm smile.

Car specialist: Larry Kennedy Age: 37 Hometown: Anaheim Hills, CA Years in Sport: 21 Occupation: Disney Mechanical Repair 

Larry does the engine assembly for the team and provides much needed moral support at the races and logistics planning and booking. In addition, Larry is working on assembling his own car - a 69 Camaro Twin Turbo which is slated to compete later in the 2008 season in the Outlaw Street class.
