This intelligent system is designed for use with a Mallory Ignition box. The design is meant to allow the user to have a nicely functional ignition system that will safeguard your engine in the event of a failure. It features oil pressure, fuel pressure and engine temperature monitoring and will rev limit the engine to 2000 RPM and turn on a warning light for you. In addition, the system will automatically control a water injection solenoid and pump and will retard the ignition advance if the water in the tank runs out. It can also retard the timing if a nitrous input is supplied to the system from a nitrous solenoid. The harness is custom made to FASTMotorsports exacting specifications and features easy to read labels that make it simple to install. It also uses its own power relays and fuses and has a safety override feature in case the warning system is malfunctioning.

How does it work?

The system arms itself at about 1500 rpm. This keeps any retards or rev limits from affecting the idle speed of the engine. Once the engine rpm exceeds 1500, if there is not sufficient oil pressure, engine temperature is too high, intake manifold air temperature is too high or fuel pressure is too low, the RPM is limited to 1500. At the same time a warning light output is triggered and the ignition advance is retarded to avoid engine damage and let the driver know there is a problem. 
Also at 1500 rpm, the water injection portion of the system is armed. When the manifold pressure increases to 4" of HG vacuum (like when you are near Wide open) the Water Injection relay sends power to the Water Solenoid and the Water Pump connectors. A water pressure switch will determine if ignition retard is used if there is not sufficient water pressure delivered to the water injection nozzle (like when the water tank runs empty). The retard amount is adjustable. 
If desired nitrous input allows timing to be retarded any time when the nitrous is activated.
